About Me

A therapist who listens first and meets you where you are.

I’m Kelsey Paterson, a licensed therapist based in Tampa, Florida. I earned my degree from the University of South Florida in 2012 and have spent the years since supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health concerns. While I regularly work with anxiety and depression, I also help clients navigate stress, life transitions, and the lasting effects of trauma. My approach is collaborative and individualized- I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I take an integrative stance that considers the full picture of your life: biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors. Together we explore what feels most helpful for you, at a pace that feels right.I aim to create a warm, steady space where you can feel heard, supported, and free to show up as you are.

Your Questions, Answered

Q Do you accept insurance?

I’m currently in-network with Cigna. For other insurance plans I’m out-of-network, but many clients use their PPO benefits or HSA/FSA accounts. Upon request, I’m happy to provide a superbill for reimbursement. Self-pay is also available.

Q How long is each session?

Standard sessions are 55 minutes.

Q Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. I offer secure video sessions for clients located anywhere in Florida. Many people find telehealth just as effective as in-person therapy, with the added convenience of being at home.

Q What if I've never tried therapy before?

I am happy that you are considering therapy for the first time! I utilize a relational approach and aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Q How do I know if you're the right fit?

The free 15 minute consultation call is a great way to make sure we would be a great fit to work together.

Q What's your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule (except for sudden illness/emergencies). Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
