FAQs

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

Generally acupuncture does not hurt.  The 'pins' are quite tiny, and patients are often surprised at how relaxed they feel following a session.  The best aspect of acupuncture is the result, a happier, healthier YOU!

Do I need to do anything to prepare for an acupuncture appointment?

It is very important to be hydrated before your appointment.  It is also nice to have a little something to eat before your session, not too much though…just enough to feel relaxed and comfortable.  Please wear comfortable clothes with plenty of room to push up above your elbows and knees if needed.  We do have sweet silky PJs for folks to change into during their session, if they wish.

What about paperwork?

Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork, or you may download the paperwork and bring it with you to your appointment.  Click the HERE to download clinic forms.

Do you bill my insurance for acupuncture?

We do not bill insurance directly, and require payment at the time of service.  We are happy to provide you with a Superbill to send to your insurance carrier for direct reimbursement.  It is recommended that you contact your insurance carrier to determine if Acupuncture is included in your coverage.

What is the cost for an acupuncture appointment?

The first appointment is $130, and all subsequent appointments range between $80 to $95 dependent on applied modalities.  Seniors do receive a 10% discount for acupuncture.
